Story 

 France 1789 - Bastille Saint-Antoine

Mathieu is set to be executed by guillotine soon. Mathieu recalls the good days working on his small farm, the memories of his family are all he has left now, and they are all he thinks about.

Now, Mathieu wonders if his life will end in this prison. What will happen to Sophie? Is he going to see his daughter Sophie again? 

Can you help Sophie save her father and reunite their small family before it’s too late?

I still remember the moment I saw you smiling while staring out the window, and I was gazing at you. Every night, I relive our memories. I still dream of you and wishing I could sink into that moment and never wake up. I still remember the day we promised to be together forever in the church. You were, and still are, the most beautiful thing in my life. You are the smile on my lips, the blue in the sky, the breathtaking beauty of the sunrise and sunset, and the joy in my heart.

Sophie is thinking about the day her house burned to ashes and her mother died inside. As she watched the soldiers, she was helpless—there was nothing she could do. Those soldiers took everything from Sophie, and now she needs your help to save her daddy and rebuild what’s left of her world.

We designed the characters inspired by the art of the game Valiant Hearts: The Great War. We have followed copyright laws, and this project is an inspiration and tribute to that game.
